On Monday, September 19, 2022, members of the Ladies Auxiliary help prepare Layered Chicken Enchilada Casserole and served approximately 180 meals for the St. Patrick Parish Loaves & Fishes Ministry.
In loving memory of Cheryl Balleto and Sandy Smith, a $300 donation was made to Lazarus House. This is the equivalent of a day of service for 2 shelter guests.
At Lazarus House, our mission is to offer guests connected to our communities who are homeless or in need hope for the future by providing safe shelter, food and education ā tools for life. We strive to make certain that all who enter feel the love of Jesus.

For many years the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary has supported Corbella Clinic with quarterly diaper donations and fleece blankets at Christmas.Ā Now that the clinic has changed their donation policy, we are pleased to make a $300 donation to the Material Assistance Fund.Ā This fund is used for durable items, like a car seat or towards a crib.Ā
Corbella Clinic is a pregnancy medical clinic that serves women and couples during and after an unexpected pregnancy. “We see beauty and strength in you, and we are here to empower you with information and support for making the right decisions for you.”
One of our main activities is supporting the Knights of Columbus in their endeavors. For the last two weekends in July, the Knights built a 2 car garage for St. John Neumann. Now, the ladies could have joined in with our hammers, but Doris and Caroline decides to bring lunch instead.
This year, Julia Cooper donated a Melin Golf hat to the basket. The cap was included with our normal collection of coffees, coffee liqueurs, cookies and candy. Thanks to Charity Davis for putting this basket together for the Ladies Auxiliary. It was one of 13 baskets at the event where all proceeds were donated to Corbella Clinic.
After the Covid hiatus, Beaver Shredding returned to the Crane Road parking lot just after tax day. Our supporters generously gave over $900 in a free-will donation. Thank you to those that came out. Also, a big thank you to our Shred Event Chairperson, Denise. She and her family are moving to Virginia — we will miss you!
The Auxiliary matched memberās personal donations up to $750.Ā Members donated $1,400.Ā Our $2,150 donation will purchase nearly 9,000 nutritious MannaPack™ meals and helped bring the 2-day service project event to St. Patrick Crane Road Church.
Knights of Columbus 12497 and the Ladies Auxiliary made a $100 contribution to sponsor the Rockford Walk for Life on January 15, 2022.Ā St. Patrick chartered a bus for all those that wanted to stand up for the unborn.Ā We also supportedĀ Ā Jeanna DesideriĀ – Executive Director ofĀ Corbella Clinic, Elgin, Illinois, who was one of the speakers.
The Joshua Tree Community is a Day Program for people with Intellectual Disabilities over the age of 22.Ā They serve 25 participants.Ā Our $225 donation helped to cover the cost of the reading program which enhances the lives of the people they serve.Ā To learn more, visit their website.
